System error may mean dues adjustment for some members

Due to a system error, approximately 30,000 NALC members failed to have the bi-weekly dues increase for 2015, as reported in the November Secretary-Treasurer’s article in The Postal Record, reflected in their Pay Period 1 paychecks.

NALC has been advised by the Postal Service that the dues amounts for these members were to be corrected in Pay Period 3 (covering January 10-23, 2015).

A temporary adjustment to recoup the dues amounts not paid from Pay Period 1 through Pay Period 2 will be made in the near future. When NALC is advised by the Postal Service in which pay periods the adjustment will occur, another announcement will be made.
