Reno Letter Carrier Eugene Arao dies after being struck by lightning

NALC is deeply saddened to learn that Letter Carrier Eugene Arao, a member of Reno, NV Branch 709, died after being struck by lightning on Saturday, July 25th.  Last week, Eugene celebrated his 22nd year with USPS.  He worked at the Reno Post Office, and was a veteran of the United States Army.  He leaves behind his wife of 27 years and three sons. 

"On behalf of the NALC, we mourn the loss of Brother Arao," NALC President Fredric Rolando said.  “We send our thoughts and prayers to Eugene’s wife and his sons, the rest of his family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones.”
