Today is National Voter Registration Day

The midterm elections are coming up soon, so it’s important to make sure all eligible voters are registered to vote and that includes all letter carriers, their family members, and their friends! With early voting beginning in many places, NALC urges letter carriers to make sure they’re registered to vote.

“Today is National Voter Registration Day and for the 50,000 letter carriers who are not registered voters, please use the resources at hand to sign up today,” said NALC President Fred Rolando. “Voting is one of the most important responsibilities for letter carriers and all citizens, and it’s important to exercise that right.”

“Voting laws can frequently change between elections,” Rolando continued, “so I urge letter carriers to double-check that they’re registered.”

In the coming weeks, letter carriers should remain on alert for updates from the national office regarding the upcoming midterms and critical voting deadlines. We encourage letter carriers to check the website frequently and download the and app as we develop an NALC voter resource guide.
