Lawmakers not seeking re-election: ongoing list

The list of lawmakers in the House and Senate announcing their retirements from their current seats has grown. At press, 25 House Republicans, nine House Democrats, four Senate Republicans, one Senate Democrat have announced their retirements since the start of the 116th. Four more House Republicans and two Democrats have resigned or died in office this Congress. The full list of retirements is viewable below. This list will be updated and re-posted should any more lawmakers retire.
