Door delivery resolution reintroduced in the House

Reps. Susan Davis (D-CA), David Joyce (R-OH) and Peter King (R-NY) have reintroduced their resolution to preserve door delivery of the mail, H.Res. 28.

The resolution’s text is identical to the version that was introduced at the beginning of the last Congress in 2015: “Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States Postal Service should take all appropriate measures to ensure the continuation of door delivery for all business and residential customers.”

By the end of the 114th Congress (2015-2016), this resolution had garnered majority bipartisan support, with 228 co-sponsors.

NALC members should call their House representatives to ask them to support this new measure.
