Honoring heroic letter carriers

In this special issue, The Postal Record honors the letter carriers who have given generously to the Committee on Letter Carrier Political Education—COLCPE.

The 2011 COLCPE contest pitted branches of similar size against each other, challenging them to reach the highest rate of participation in the Gimme 5 program.

Automatic contributions to COLCPE are the foundation for NALC's entire political and legislative agenda.

Whatever their motivation, and whatever the amount they gave, occasional contributors to COLCPE are just as important as automatic contributors.

Letter carriers can contribute directly to COLCPE from their paychecks every pay period using the Postal Service’s PostalEASE.

Carriers can go online to use PostalEASE to contributed to COLCPE.

Retired NALC members have the option of making voluntary COLCPE contributions directly from their monthly annuities, a convenient way to make regular donations to the political action fund similar to the payroll system available to active carriers.
