NALC's MDA Awards
Millions to fight muscular dystrophy
NALC branches that raise the most money for MDA are honored each year with a trip to accompany President Fredric V. Rolando to the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon for the ceremonial presentation of the union's total contribution to aid "Jerry's kids."
The NALC/MDA Campaign Contest was started in 1986, and branch delegations are introduced on the air during the telethon. The winners are announced each year in early summer.

Also, two awards will be given to all
branches that achieve excellence in fund-raising. A branch
that raises more than $5,000 will receive a certificate naming it a “Friend of MDA.” Branches that raise more than
$10,000 will win the President’s Award, which will be commemorated by a plaque signed by our National President.
These awards will be given each calendar year.
If your branch is not participating in the NALC/MDA Campaign, consider the benefits that will be gained by your involvement. Muscular Dystrophy is a worthy cause and contributions by NALC members, during many years of involvement, have enabled researchers for muscular dystrophy to make breakthroughs in the discovery of cures for the neuromuscular diseases.
Join the muscular dystrophy team and assure the good work now taking place will continue. |
